Rich Boy in the window @ 82nd and Broadway

I’m in NYC for the launch of Rich Boy, and to see friends and loved ones. The book is in the window at the 82nd Street Barnes and Noble. I lived in that neighborhood for many years and, I don’t mind telling you, seeing Rich Boy in the window at the Upper West Side book hub made me cry. Luckily I was wearing sunglasses as it is sunny and hot, hot, hot here. My friend Marcie Wald was with me and took photos. Okay, I looked like a dork, and people on the street stared at us, but these things don’t happen every day.

Broadway and 82nd Street would have been Robert Vishniak’s Barnes and Noble, and Barry’s too, except, well, they’re fictional characters.
