Greenhills School

I had a great morning at The Greenhills School in Ann Arbor talking about how to put down the screens and let yourself dream, and then tell stories. I was amazed at the kinds of subjects these young writers, grades 6-11, chose for their writing contest entries: A play set during WWI, an essay about the corrosive effects of the Disney Princess image on girls’ self esteem, a piece of theater criticism on the casting of a production of Into the Wood. And those are just a few. Wow.
